Beginner level classic:
This level is suitable for those who have never cross-country skied before, or have very little experience (1-5 ski trips).
The course focuses on teaching you basic skills such as balance, braking, and how to create propulsion on skis.
This level is also suitable for those who ski very rarely, perhaps only a few times during a winter, or not every winter.
We recommend that you sign up for either a group course, where you learn with others at your level, or for private lessons for more individual guidance.
Intermediate level classic:
This level is for those who have some experience with classic cross-country skiing and can ski, but want to improve their technique.
You may have tried diagonal stride, poling, and turning techniques, but are not entirely comfortable with all of them, especially in more challenging terrain.
We offer private lessons to help you build on your existing skills and become more confident on skis.
Experienced/Advanced level classic:
This level is for those with extensive experience in classic cross-country skiing who want to fine-tune their technique for competition or very challenging terrain.
You master all techniques well, but want to focus on optimizing power transfer, endurance, and tactics in various types of terrain.
Private lessons are ideal for getting personalized feedback and guidance on the small, but important, details.
Beginner level skating:
This course is for those who have little or no experience with skating (1-5 trips).
It is recommended that you have some basic skills in classic cross-country skiing before starting with skating, but this is not a requirement.
In this course, you will learn the basic techniques for skating, as well as improve your balance on skating skis.
Here too, we recommend that you sign up for a group course or consider private lessons for a more customized training experience.
Advanced level skating:
This course is suitable for those who have some experience with skating, but want to become more comfortable and efficient in their technique.
You can skate in easier terrain, but need to improve your balance and technique in varied or steeper terrain.
Private lessons provide individual guidance to make you more secure and stable on skating skis.
Experienced/advanced level skating:
Suitable for those with significant experience in skating and who want to maximize their performance in technically demanding situations or for competition.
Focus on technique improvements, such as double skate, single skate, and balance at high speed, as well as endurance training.
Private lessons give you the opportunity to work closely with an instructor to perfect your technique and reach your specific goals.

If you are new to cross-country skiing, we recommend starting with classic. It's an easier entry into the sport and provides a solid foundation for further development. Classic cross-country skiing is the most common style among skiers in Norway and is generally perceived as slightly less strenuous than skating, with a lower barrier for beginners.
Skating, on the other hand, is a great form of exercise that is both fun and challenging. It is technically and physically more demanding than classic, but its popularity is constantly increasing. Skating offers a more dynamic experience on skis and is well-suited for those who want an intense and engaging workout.

Group lessons at GoSki Oslo are only for beginners, with small groups of a maximum of 6 people for a personalized and social learning experience. In a group lesson, you can learn with others at the same level, while a private lesson provides tailored instruction adapted to your specific needs. If you wish to learn in a private setting, you can also sign up for a private lesson with friends or family members so that you can have the instructor to yourselves.

We conduct our courses in Norwegian and/or English, depending on the participants' needs. The language of instruction is adapted to ensure the best possible learning outcome for all participants.

Check the weather forecast before you come, and dress to be active in the current weather. The most important thing is that you can move freely, without getting too warm or cold. Remember to wear gloves or mittens, and cover your neck and head. You don't need special ski clothing if you don't have it; regular outdoor activity clothes are perfectly fine. It can also be a good idea to bring a small backpack to store your belongings during the course.
-
We have a place where you can leave your shoes if you rent ski boots from us. Otherwise, we recommend bringing a small backpack that you can wear during the class.

The instructor will bring your ski equipment to the meeting point if you indicated during registration that you wish to rent. Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before the class starts.
