A 1.5-hour cross-country ski lesson is usually more than enough.
Cross-country skiing is a physically demanding activity, and most people are both tired and satisfied after one session.
This applies to both beginners and more experienced skiers – technique training on skis requires strength, balance, and concentration.
Please consider this when planning how long you wish to use the equipment.
Useful tools for choosing the right ski equipment
Make the most of your ski trips with our helpful guides and calculators! Check out our useful articles on choosing the right ski length and on ski equipment for beginners, and get the best experience on your ski trips. In addition, we offer several tools, such as a ski and pole length calculator, a shoe size converter, and a simple inch-to-centimeter calculator, so you can ensure you have the right equipment for a comfortable and fun ski trip.
Ski and pole length calculator
*Maximum ski length varies depending on the brand and ski level: for classic skis, the maximum length is 207–210 cm, for skate skis – 192–200 cm.
Shoe size converter
*We round up the shoe size. For example, 28.5 cm becomes a European size 45 instead of 44.5. This provides better comfort, especially if the shoes are not intended for competitive use.
Imperial units to metric
*We round units of measurement to the nearest whole number
