We offer ski equipment rental to our course participants.

Price for in 2024 is 399 NOK per person.

If you need equipment, please state your height and shoe size when signing up for the course, and we will bring equipment for you to the meeting point.

Renting ski equipment without attending a cross-country course

Do you want to rent ski equipment but not participate in the course? We offer rental of cross-country skiing equipment to anyone who needs it, regardless of whether you are a course participant or not.

The price for 2024 is 399 NOK per person and the rental is for a maximum of 8 hoursso the equipment must be returned on the same day as it was picked up.

Borrow cross-country equipment for free

Many people don't realize that there are actually places in Oslo where you can borrow ski equipment for classic and skating for free!

Although it requires a little more logistics than renting directly at the course location, this is a great option to save money.

We at GoSki believe that skiing fun should be accessible to everyone, so we've put together an overview of places where you can borrow equipment for both classic cross-country skiing and skating free of charge, regardless of whether you're taking a course with us or not.

BUA (Multiple locations)

  • How to rent: Go to the BUA website, find your nearest lending station and follow the instructions to borrow equipment for free.

  • How to rent: Contact Skattkammeret in your city district directly to borrow equipment for free. Applies to children and young people under 18, and adults can rent.

Ski and pole length calculator

*Maximum length of skis varies depending on the brand and level of skis: for classic skis, the maximum length is 207-210 cm, for skate skis - 192-200 cm.

Shoe size converter

European size:

*We round up the shoe size. For example, 28.5 cm becomes 45 in European size instead of 44.5. This provides better comfort, especially if the shoes are not for competition use.

Frequently asked questions about equipment

  • We have a place where you can leave your shoes if you borrow ski boots from us. Otherwise, we recommend that you bring a small backpack that you can wear during the course.

  • The instructor will bring your ski equipment to the meeting point if you have stated at registration that you want to rent. Arrive approx. 10 minutes before the course starts.

  • Yes, we offer ski equipment rental at Sognsvann, both to classic and skating. Please contact us to check availability.
