Cross-Country Ski Lessons in Oslo — Adults, All Levels

Group courses in cross-country skiing costs 990 NOK per person for 90 minutes — this applies to both classic (Absolute Beginner and Beginner Plus) and skate skiing. Choose group courses if you want a fixed price, set dates, and to learn with others at the same level — a maximum of 8 participants. Choose private lessons if you want full customization, your own instructor, and flexible scheduling, or if there are multiple of you at different levels. With a lesson package of 3, 5, or 10 private lessons, you save up to 25%.

Yes. All of our group courses are ski courses for adults. «Absolute Beginner» is designed for those who have never skied cross-country, and most participants come alone or in pairs. If you have done 1–10 ski trips, Beginner Plus is better suited.

Classic group lessons are held at Tryvann — metro line 1 to Voksenkollen, then a 15-minute walk or free shuttle bus. Skate ski lessons are held at Sognsvann, a 5-minute walk from metro line 5. Private lessons are held in Holmenkollen in December and at Sognsvann in January and February. Parking is available at all locations.

Not on the classic group courses. You rent the full package from Skimore on Tryvann at the course participant price — show up 45–60 minutes before the course starts and show your registration confirmation at the counter. Start with classic if you're completely new — the skis will follow the track, and you'll get to grips with it faster. Skate skiing is suitable for those who already ski a little and want more speed and better fitness. If you're unsure, you can try both in a private lesson .

The winter season starts on December 20, 2026 , and registration is already open. The courses run through December, January, February and March as long as there is snow. In the summer we offer private lessons on roller skis in Holmenkollen.

Yes. All courses can be held in Norwegian or English , and the instructors change according to the group. If you are visiting Oslo, we have a separate private program for visitors with equipment delivered at the meeting point.
