Beginner's course in skating, instructor shows skating technique. Cross-country skating courses for adults and children.

Beginner course skating is for those who want to learn basic skating techniques and improve their balance on skis. It is to advantage if you already know classic skiing, but this is not a requirement. After the course, you will have acquired the skills to skate efficiently!

About the course

  • Small group of up to 6 people

  • You learn basic cross-country skiing techniques

  • The course can be held in Norwegian and English

  • The meeting point is only 5 min away from the subway, with a large parking lot available

  • Equipment rental - We bring all the equipment to the venue, so you don't have to worry about it

Here's what you'll learn

  • One skate - V1

    Used on flat areas and on gentle downhill slopes. This technique ensures fast and efficient progress.

  • Two skate - V2

    A skating technique used on moderate terrain. The skier pushes off with one leg at a time, with a pole hold on each push.

  • Uphill

    It's a technique for tackling uphill slopes. You learn to climb hills efficiently and maintain momentum.

  • Sliding herringbone

    Downhill technique that combines the traditional herringbone pattern with a gliding motion, where the arms and legs work in sync to create momentum.

Ski equipment rental

We offer rental of ski equipment to our course participants.
Price for full package in 2024 is 399 NOK.


If you want to rent equipment, please enter your height and shoe size when signing up.
Our instructor will pick up the equipment for you and bring it to the meeting point to make the logistics easier for you.
