Sign up for an effective and educational private course in roller skiing - classic or skating . Suitable for those who are new to roller skiing, or have experience and want to improve.

You will receive follow-up from one of our experienced instructors, adapted to your level.
We meet you where you are and tailor a plan that gives you maximum benefit from the lesson.

The focus is on technique and safe progression , so you build confidence on roller skiing and go more efficiently with better flow.

About the lesson

  • Level: Beginner / Advanced

  • Location: Holmenkollen / Flexible upon request

  • Price:

    • 90 minutes: 1850 NOK (private lesson 1:1)

    • Additional person: +950 NOK per person

    • We can rent roller skis for 300 NOK, your instructor will bring it to the lesson.
      You must bring your own helmet, ski boots, poles and gloves.
      Alternatively, you can rent roller skiing equipment at Hyglo .

  • Important: The course is for those who have experience with cross-country skiing in the winter.
    If you have never gone cross-country skiing before, we recommend that you learn basic techniques on snow before signing up for roller skiing lessons.

Questions and answers

Before you sign up

  • Yes and no — the course is best suited for those who have some experience of cross-country skiing on snow. If you are completely new, we recommend starting with cross-country skiing lessons during the winter season first.

    But nothing can stop you from trying roller skiing without any experience.

  • You must bring:

    • Helmet

    • Ski boots with NNN bindings

    • Spells

    • Gloves

    We can rent roller skis for 300 NOK.

    Wear clothes you can move freely in, and bring water.

  • We offer both techniques. Feel free to choose the style you want to perfect before winter, or try a new technique. Let us know when booking and we will match you with the right instructor and equipment.

  • Yes. You should just add an extra person when booking. Both will receive follow-up from the same instructor, and the level will be adjusted together.

  • We teach in Norwegian and English. Please specify your preferred language when booking.

  • Light rain is usually fine — roller skiing is done on asphalt all year round. In the event of heavy rain, thunderstorms or dangerous weather, we will reschedule at no charge.

  • Holmenkollen — 10 minutes walk from Holmenkollen Metro Station (Line 1). Free parking available. Other meeting points can be arranged upon request.
